Camp Owaissa photograph album, 1924-1929.

Collection comprises a photograph album with 48 black-and-white photographs showing the summer activities of female campers and their counselors at Camp Owaissa in Pocono Pines, Pa., including swimming, canoeing, horseback riding, and playing volleyball. There are also photographs of groups of girls by tent, often shown with favorite toys, dolls or stuffed animals, as well as panoramic photographs of groups by class year. Ages range from grade school to high school. Betts provided captions and identification for campers in black ink on the photographs or the album pages. In addition, in the front of the album there are five pages for names, addresses, and comments by campers and counselors.
